Counselling and Psychotherapy for adults and couples in Sutton Coldfield and online

Welcome to Karen Sarai Counselling & Psychotherapy

A confidential and supportive space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life

My name is Karen and I am an experienced counsellor offering both short and long-term therapy to individuals and couples in Sutton Coldfield and online

Counselling and psychotherapy in a safe, comfortable and private setting

Life brings many challenges and it is understandable that, at times, we might look for support in facing them. As a counsellor, my role is to provide a safe and supportive space to help you understand yourself and your relationships better so that you can move forwards with more clarity, confidence and peace of mind.

I am a BACP Accredited therapist with over 10 years experience of working with clients in a range of settings including further education, the workplace, healthcare and the charity sector. My approach is gentle yet focused, helping to build insight, offer fresh perspectives and create real change.

Speak in Confidence

Counselling takes place in a safe and confidential space. You will be met with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space, thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely.

A problem shared...

Many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.

Make better, healthier new choices

Counselling can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.

Get in touch

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to arrange a session.

I also offer a free 15 minute initial consultation if you would like to speak with me before making a booking. This provides an opportunity to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.

“Words cannot describe the difference these sessions have made in my life. I am so grateful to have ongoing support with you. Your non-judgemental approach and calm demeanour are invaluable and that’s what keeps me coming back to you for support when I need it. I feel uplifted after my sessions and always gain some much needed clarity following your support. Thank you!”

“I felt relaxed, at ease and able to share things that had been plaguing me for a long time. Karen quickly identified the areas I was struggling with and came up with some coping strategies. She was also extremely flexible with appointments which helped reduce my stress significantly. Karen was exactly who I needed at that time and I am extremely grateful.”

“Thank you Karen, I truly appreciate your help and support over the last couple of months. It has really helped me start on a good path for myself and my family, slowly taking the steps I need and realising I have to give myself time.”

“The counselling I’ve received has been very beneficial. I felt a connection with you that put me at ease, giving me the opportunity to express everything that was going on. Your style and approach is well-balanced and thoughtful – you created an approachable environment and were able to listen, giving me the tools to move forward. I have never felt as safe to open myself bare. It’s a testament to your impactful work.”
