A confidential and supportive space to explore the thoughts, feelings and challenges in your life
My name is Karen and I am an experienced counsellor offering both short and long-term therapy to individuals and couples in Sutton Coldfield and online
Life brings many challenges and it is understandable that, at times, we might look for support in facing them. As a counsellor, my role is to provide a safe and supportive space to help you understand yourself and your relationships better so that you can move forwards with more clarity, confidence and peace of mind.

Counselling takes place in a safe and confidential space. You will be met with sensitivity and empathy - and without judgement. In the therapy space, thoughts and feelings can be expressed freely.
Many people face difficulties in their everyday lives that can be hard to get on top of. Counselling gives us a set of tools we can use to help gain a better understanding of what’s causing these problems - and how you can move towards managing or resolving them.
Counselling can help you gain greater insight into the difficulties you are facing, help you understand why you act or react to them the way you do, and see how you can start to make better, heathier choices moving forward.
Everyone’s story is different and people come to counselling for a whole range of reasons. Some of the issues that I can help with include:
Low mood and depression
Anxiety
Bereavement
Abuse
Relationships
Trauma
Stress
Anger management
Maternity and Parenting
Difficulties at work or in retirement
Health concerns
Problems with family life
Self esteem
Personal development
Cultural issues
Identity issues
Women’s issues

My therapy room is located at the Livewell Health Clinic in Boldmere, Sutton Coldfield and I see clients from the local area along with those from the surrounding Aldridge, Streetly, Walsall, Sandwell, West Bromwich and Birmingham areas.
In addition to providing face to face counselling, I also offer telephone counselling and online sessions for those that prefer remote support.
Sessions last for 50 minutes and cost £50 a session for individuals and £60 a session for couples.
I offer concessions for those on low incomes and for students.

Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to arrange a session.
I also offer a free 15 minute initial consultation if you would like to speak with me before making a booking. This provides an opportunity to discuss the reasons you are thinking of coming to counselling, whether it could be helpful for you and whether I am the right therapist to help.
